Citizens of conscience, Faith and UUs of the United States, are calling on our leaders to commit to and fund the U.S. FAIR SHARE of the Green Climate Fund and our full financing / technology transfer responsibilities.
We recognize that Climate Change is a moral issue, and align with Unitarian Universalist Principles that promote "justice, equity, and compassion in human relations," as well as to respect "the interdependent web of all existence of which we are a part." In line with those principles, we believe that our Congressional representatives, the Biden Administration, the U.S. State Department and John Kerry as United States Special Presidential Envoy for Climate must act in strong support of the Green Climate Fund. The U.S. must demonstrate its moral and ethical financial leadership, through a Fair Share commitment in accordance with the Paris Climate Agreement Commitment.
Click to send a message, helping them feel the weight of our principled concern on this matter. Let’s urge them to commit to and finance the Green Climate Fund and, thereby, the Paris Climate Agreement; which moves all nations towards a safer future.
