David A. Super, Georgetown Law Professor, will provide a clear-eyed and experienced assessment of the lawless actions by the Trump administration regarding SNAP benefits. He will offer UUSJ chapter and verse on the maneuvers the administration has been deploying, and suggest what we all need to be aware of as this policy circumstance continues to unfold.

Even if the government shutdown ends, policy experts, analysts, and legislative actors expect to see lots of SNAP funding maneuvers of one kind or another for the foreseeable future.

David’s research focuses on Administrative Law, Constitutional Law, Legislation (including the federal budget), Local Government Law, and Public Welfare Law. David previously served as general counsel for the Center on Budget and Policy Priorities and worked for the National Health Law Program.

David is among the foremost experts on SNAP in the U.S., and he is also a Unitarian Universalist.
