As Unitarian Universalists, we believe in the use of democratic processes in our congregations and society at large. Our faith tradition teaches us to uphold justice so that everyone can participate fully in society, recognizing that every individual and community has inherent worth and dignity.
Our Volunteer Teams are working to launch an ongoing series of action hours. Participation in this series will enable you to defend our democracy and champion a positive, inclusive vision for our republic. Over time, you will be invited to engage in various ways and on numerous issues.
Join us for a brief overview of the issues. Take some action in fellowship and community. Leave knowing that you did some good for our republic and to advance us toward inclusive democracy.
No Senators is rough, Taxation without Representation is no Free Ride. Join in solidarity with DC residents to defend local autonomy from federal overreach and “The Rise of the Imperial Presidency.”
Ever thought about what it would be like if you didn't have Senators in Congress, our National Legislature?
The DC fight is part of our national fight because it is part of the ground game to defy authoritarianism. Communities organized across state and municipal lines are more potent than those siloed by jurisdiction. DC folks can't do it alone. Solidarity is the way to win. They need us.
This is about voting rights, racial justice, and the proper function of a healthy democracy. Authentic Home Rule should be available to everyone.
