Hill Outing Support Fund
Traveling and staying in DC can be challenging for many folks, especially as we are also gathering for GA 2025 later in the week. Your financial support will be used to defray event expenses and our area of greatest need: travel, food, and lodging for UUs visiting Washington D.C.
Your gift will enable profound participation.
Our UU Hill Outing needs your generosity to ensure we can have the most meaningful impact on our elected officials. We want to uplift a rich array of voices to contribute to our chorus of moral concern. Which means we need to financially support folks in telling their stories and sharing their policy witness with Members of Congress.
Here are a few ways YOU can make a difference by offering:
* Shelter - $100 covers a portion of lodging
* Travel - $200 will facilitate travel and transportation
* Fellowship - $400 supports multiple needs for many voices
* Love - $800 will provide elements of philia (friendship), agape (universal), and pragma (long-lasting)

- UUs are invited to speak justice in the language of our faith at a Pre-GA Hill Day at the US Capitol! Begin your General Assembly journey early by joining a UUs for Social Justice (UUSJ) and UU Service Committee (UUSC) led advocacy outing on Capitol Hill to make our voices and values heard - loud and clear - as we mobilize with our UU partners.
- Join us in holding our elected representatives accountable - whether that means halting autocracy, pushing back against fascism or celebrating those resisting the onslaught. The human rights violations and environmental harm enacted by the new administration in just a few weeks requires a collective faithful response. The assault on immigrants and our constitutional norms must be challenged.
- Youth are welcome as long as they are supervised by a parent or guardian at all times! There will not be any specific programming for youth so please make sure they are old enough, or mature enough, to enjoy and learn from this event.
- Safety is key--these are strange times in our country. We're putting together a safety plan to keep our folks safe from harm.

- A working dinner in Washington DC on Monday, June 16.
- A breakfast and briefing on Capitol Hill on Tuesday, June 17.
- Advocacy as we meet our Senators and Representatives on Tuesday, June 17.
- An open air worship service/vigil on or near the Capitol Grounds at the close of business Tuesday, June 17.
