UUSJ Witness
The purpose of social justice witness is to make public by word, deed, and presence, the convictions of an individual or organization regarding a particular issue. Especially to show solidarity, compassion, and support for collective liberation with impacted communities and those who suffer root cause harms. This may include participating in demonstrations, vigils, and marches, or writing letters to the editor conveying community stories--community witness--to change hearts and minds.
By joining this list you will receive communications about witness opportunities, be they online, via social media amplification, or events requesting physical presence.
Most of the opportunities UUSJ promotes are aimed at persuading federal actors, and therefore focused on Washington D.C., but occasionally we will inform you of local or regional efforts organized by allies in our work as UUSJ strives to show organizational solidarity.
You will now receive updates about witness opportunities, with the aspiration that you will attend, tune in, and/or participate via social media when possible. (And let us know when you do.)
Help us continue to grow by spreading the word.
