One Last Push: We're $4,400 Away

Dear Advocate,

Ten days ago, we set out to raise $10,000 to celebrate our Executive Director's decade of leadership for our justice work. We've used this occasion with Pablo to share stories about UUSJ.

We invited you into a relationship of awareness and understanding about who we are and how we got here.

As of today, we've raised $5,600 — an admirable showing; we hit 50% of our goal — but not quite there yet. Help us take it home. If every recipient donated $10, we'd exceed our goal.

If nothing else, a fun-colored dye job for Pablo is on the line. Don't you want to see him with a funny-colored goatee?

In this story-driven campaign, we've:

  • Highlighted our roots and wings.
  • Explained our history and lineage. 
  • We've showcased our justice-making approach.
  • Disclosed some stumbles.
  • Clapped for some victories.
  • Pointed toward the future work needed.

This campaign has honored not only Pablo's leadership, but the collective effort of volunteers, partners, congregations, and allies who make UUSJ what it is.

We've celebrated that we are a community that shows up — together, and together we invite one final gift in joy.

To close this out, we will need focus and grace. But we believe we can make that goal.

We're giving ourselves till midnight Thursday, August 20th, after the capstone celebration to hit our goal.

If we can close the last $4,400 gap, Pablo dyes his goatee for the election season — and honestly, we'd really like to see that happen.

Ten years of this work has never been about one number or one fundraising drive. But we'd love to cross this one together — and we've got through tomorow night to do it.
